First Ever White Wash By Aussies In Ashes!

And History is made by Australians today! They defeated English team with 5-0 in Ashes. Its first time in history of Ashes that Australia has white washed the England team. I said History of Ashes as ”Ashes” has its own history. No matter what was the reason for calling it as Ashes, its one of the best and awaited event of Cricket after World cup for an international cricket fan. No wonder for Australians and England fans its more than World Cup or Champians trophy.

Last time, back in mid of 2005, England had defeated Australia probably after 17 or 18 years. They were naturally very happy and enthesiastic about it. And according to many fans and critics, this was the major reason of such a big defeat this time. There may be many reasons for such a ”marvelous” and hiostoric defeat but top 5 reasons of white wash described by an Australian fan John are quite true and impressive.

Not only Australians but any fan of cricket would never forget such a marvellous series which is last test series of the Great Australian bowlers Shane Warne and Glenn McGrath. Both of the big names had already announced retirement from test cricket. Shane Warne, who had already left One Dayers, completed his 700 test wickets in this series and he is no doubt the leading wicket taker at the moment. McGrath has his own magic which can”t be forgotten easily. His accuracy with ball in both line and length is his key to succes and to keep line and length accurate you have to be a class player.

England is a team which has probably never won any big event of cricket despite being the poineers of this game. They have reached in finals of World Cup many times but always lost it. Last time they had lost the final in 1992 to Pakistan in Australia. In a Champions trophy final, they were in winning position over West Indies but last pair of West Indies batting line up had shattered their hope to get it. Lets see what happens in future!!!

As Australia and England are rivals and any game between them is important, same or may be even more strong is the case with Pakistan vs India. So there must be a special name given to some series played between Pakistan and India as well.
